A group of Black Mountain residents initiated the Black Mountain Beautification Committee in 2000 with the goal of improving the aesthetics of our community. As a non-profit organization, we exist solely by the support of community volunteers, private donations and the Town of Black Mountain of North Carolina.
The people of Black Mountain possess a cherished tradition of honoring the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, all the while seeking to reflect that beauty on the streets and in the lives of its citizens.
Our Committee strives to maintain and nurture the town gardens, green areas and also to establish more natural gardens in designated open areas. We work with town groups to realize this vision of Black Mountain as a hospitable and scenic mountain community.

Our monthly committee meetings are held by Zoom or at Lake Tomahawk on the third Tuesday at 5:30 pm which are open to the public. We get a lot done and have fun too.
Curious to what we do around town? Then take a moment and listen to our report to the Board of Alderman and response from Mayor Collins. We love Black Mountain and it shows!
